Club Bonsai bij Altstadt Rotterdam

Club Bonsai en Altstadt slaan de handen ineen voor een avond vol avontuurlijke muziek, improvisatie en onverwachte samenwerkingen in het hart van Historisch Delfshaven. In de theater- en cafésetting aan de Aelbrechtskolk stap je binnen in een vrije speelruimte waar muzikale experimenten, pop-up line-ups en creatieve uitspattingen elkaar voortdurend afwisselen. Bonsai Panda, het geesteskind van Jelle Roozenburg en Louk Boudesteijn, vormt samen met Jesse Schilderink, Jimmi Hueting, Romain Bly en David Kweksilber de kern van de avond. Verwacht niet alleen een concert van Bonsai Panda, maar ook korte sets in wisselende samenstellingen en een afsluitende solo-set van Fast DE. Alles ontstaat live, in het moment, met een flinke dosis improvisatie en zelfrelativering. ‘Short Term Memory Music’, noemen ze het zelf.

Club Bonsai and Altstadt join forces for an evening of adventurous music, improvisation and unexpected collaborations in the heart of historic Delfshaven. In the intimate theatre and café setting overlooking the Aelbrechtskolk, you step into an open playground where musical experiments, pop-up line-ups and creative outbursts constantly shift and evolve. Bonsai Panda, the brainchild of Jelle Roozenburg and Louk Boudesteijn, forms the core of the evening together with Jesse Schilderink, Jimmi Hueting, Romain Bly and David Kweksilber. Expect not only a concert by Bonsai Panda, but also short sets in changing formations and a closing solo set by Fast DE. Everything is created live, in the moment, driven by improvisation, spontaneity and a healthy sense of self-irony. Or as they call it themselves: “Short Term Memory Music.”
