R’dam Central Station Young Talent Stage x Music Matters: Amélie Esmée

Amélie Esmée neemt je mee in een dromerige wereld waarin alternatieve Nederlandstalige pop, soul en jazz samenkomen. Met haar warme stem, persoonlijke teksten en meeslepende bandgeluid verkent ze thema’s als liefde, verlangen, vertrouwen en loslaten. Intiem, melancholisch en tegelijkertijd krachtig. Met haar debuut-EP Toekomstverdriet zet Amélie een belangrijke stap als maker. In vijf persoonlijke liedjes gaat ze op zoek naar een plek om thuis te voelen, in een verhaal over opgroeien, afscheid nemen en vertrouwen vinden in jezelf. Na haar debuutsingle Achterop, airplay op 3FM en een uitverkochte releaseshow in Amsterdam, laat Amélie horen waarom zij een van de opvallende nieuwe stemmen binnen de Nederlandstalige pop is.

Music Matters en North Sea Round Town zetten zich beide in voor de groei van jong muzikaal talent en geloven in de kracht van muziek als plek voor ontmoeting, ontwikkeling en expressie. Tijdens North Sea Round Town staat Helene Rust namens Music Matters op het Young Talent Stage in Rotterdam Centraal. Zo brengen beide organisaties samen de volgende generatie artiesten en nieuwe stemmen uit de stad onder de aandacht.

Amélie Esmée invites you into a dreamy world where alternative Dutch-language pop, soul and jazz come together. Through her warm voice, personal lyrics and immersive band sound, she explores themes of love, longing, trust and letting go. Intimate, melancholic and powerful all at once. With her debut EP Toekomstverdriet (Future Sorrow), Amélie takes an important step as an artist. Across five personal songs, she searches for a place to call home, telling a story about growing up, saying goodbye and learning to trust yourself. Following her debut single Achterop, airplay on Dutch national radio and a sold-out release show in Amsterdam, Amélie is emerging as one of the promising new voices in Dutch-language pop.
