North Sea Round Town neemt na de editie van 2026 afscheid van Raluca Baicu

Na acht festivaledities sluiten North Sea Round Town en Raluca Baicu deze bijzondere periode gezamenlijk af.

Raluca heeft een waardevolle bijdrage geleverd aan North Sea Round Town. Zij was nauw betrokken bij onder meer het Artist in Focus-traject, het openingsprogramma van het festival, de Open Call-commissie en diverse artistieke (co)producties. In samenwerking met musici, producenten, partners en collega’s werkte zij aan programma’s waarin ruimte was voor experiment, nieuwe verbindingen en bijzondere live-ervaringen.

North Sea Round Town is een festival dat tot stand komt dankzij de gezamenlijke inzet van programmeurs, producenten, makers, partners, vrijwilligers en vele anderen. De afgelopen acht festivaledities heeft Raluca daaraan een belangrijke bijdrage geleverd. Samen hebben we mooie producties gerealiseerd, nieuwe ideeën ontwikkeld en bijzondere momenten gecreëerd voor artiesten, publiek en de stad.

Wij kijken met veel waardering terug op de samenwerking en bedanken Raluca voor haar creativiteit, betrokkenheid en inzet. We wensen haar veel succes en inspiratie bij haar verdere werkzaamheden en kijken ernaar uit elkaar ook in de toekomst binnen de Rotterdamse en landelijke muziek- en cultuursector te blijven ontmoeten en samenwerken.

 

After eight festival editions, North Sea Round Town and Raluca Baicu are bringing this special chapter to a close together.

Raluca has made a valuable contribution to North Sea Round Town. She was closely involved in the Artist in Focus programme, the festival’s opening programme, the Open Call committee and various artistic productions and co-productions. Working with musicians, producers, partners and colleagues, she helped create programmes that made space for experimentation, new connections and unique live experiences.

North Sea Round Town is a festival made possible by the collective efforts of programmers, producers, artists, partners, volunteers and many others. Over the past eight festival editions, Raluca has played an important part in this. Together, we have created memorable productions, developed new ideas and brought special moments to artists, audiences and the city.

We look back on our collaboration with great appreciation and thank Raluca for her creativity, commitment and dedication. We wish her every success and inspiration in her future work and look forward to continuing to cross paths and collaborate within Rotterdam’s music and cultural sector and beyond.
