Onder leiding van de Zuid-Koreaanse jazzpianist Miran Noh neemt NOHMI je mee in een gelaagd muzikaal landschap waarin klassieke impressionistische invloeden en hedendaagse jazz samenkomen. Geïnspireerd door componisten en makers als Ravel, Debussy, Shai Maestro en Immanuel Wilkins beweegt de muziek tussen verstilling, spanning en dromerige klankwerelden. Met het album Brightness & Darkness, winnaar van The Records (Keep an Eye Foundation) 2025, onderzoekt NOHMI thema’s als sociale ontworteling en persoonlijke emotionele reizen. Zo ontstaan donker glinsterende composities die zowel intiem als filmisch aanvoelen.

Led by South Korean jazz pianist Miran Noh, NOHMI takes you into a layered musical landscape where classical impressionism and contemporary jazz come together. Inspired by artists and composers such as Ravel, Debussy, Shai Maestro and Immanuel Wilkins, the music moves between stillness, tension and dreamlike soundscapes. With the album Brightness & Darkness, winner of The Records (Keep an Eye Foundation) 2025, NOHMI explores themes of social displacement and personal emotional journeys. The result is a series of darkly shimmering compositions that feel both intimate and cinematic.
