Yiorgos Bereris presenteert zijn nieuwe album Sea in Common. Samen met een band vol viool, altviool, contrabas en drums beweegt de pianist tussen jazz en wereldmuziek, geïnspireerd door Griekse en Balkantradities. Je hoort hoe reizen door het Middellandse Zeegebied en de Balkan doorklinken in muziek vol zee, wind, steden, feestelijke ontmoetingen en het ritme van het dagelijks leven. Zo ontstaat een muzikale taal die tegelijk intiem en weids aanvoelt. Deze zomer reist Sea in Common mee langs een albumtour met concerten in meer dan zes Europese landen.

Yiorgos Bereris presents his new album Sea in Common. Together with a band featuring violin, viola, double bass and drums, the pianist moves between jazz and world music, drawing inspiration from Greek and Balkan traditions. You can hear journeys across the Mediterranean and the Balkans reflected in music shaped by the sea, the wind, the hum of cities, festive gatherings and the rhythm of everyday life. The result is a musical language that feels both intimate and expansive. This summer, Sea in Common travels across Europe as part of an album release tour with performances in more than six countries.
