Tussen de liveoptredens van Rotterdamse Femme in Focus Jèryh Luz neemt Julia Zahra plaats achter de draaitafels. De Rotterdamse DJ en singer-songwriter mixt moeiteloos afrobeats, afrofunk, disco en urban-electronic tot energieke sets vol soulvolle grooves. Geïnspireerd door haar Nigeriaanse roots, haar liefde voor vinyl en de muzikale nalatenschap van Fela Kuti, brengt ze een eclectische sound die uitnodigt om te dansen én met elkaar in verbinding te komen. Na optredens op onder meer Lowlands Festival en BIRD Boogieball vormt Julia Zahra de perfecte muzikale schakel tussen de live sets van Jèryh Luz.
Between the live performances by Rotterdamse Femme in Focus Jèryh Luz, Julia Zahra takes over the decks. The Rotterdam-based DJ and singer-songwriter blends afrobeats, afrofunk, disco and urban electronic into vibrant, groove-driven sets. Inspired by her Nigerian roots, a deep love for vinyl and the legacy of Fela Kuti, her eclectic sound invites audiences to dance, connect and celebrate together. Having played stages including Lowlands Festival and BIRD Boogieball, Julia Zahra provides the perfect musical bridge between Jèryh Luz’s live performances.
Op vrijdag 10, zaterdag 11 en zondag 12 juli 2026 verandert de stationshal van Rotterdam Centraal in een levendig podium: het Young Talent Stage, met surprise acts van North Sea Jazz en een Femme in Focus-special met Jèryh Luz als hoofdgast. Het Young Talent Stage wordt gepresenteerd door North Sea Round Town, in samenwerking met Cult North, House of Knowledge, Music Matters en NN North Sea Jazz. Samen creëren zij ruimte voor nieuwe stemmen, frisse ideeën en muziek die de toekomst van de stad laat horen.
From Friday 10 to Sunday 12 July 2026, the station hall of Rotterdam Centraal transforms into a vibrant stage: the Young Talent Stage, featuring surprise acts from North Sea Jazz and a Femme in Focus special with Jèryh Luz as the main guest. The Young Talent Stage is presented by North Sea Round Town, in collaboration with Cult North, House of Knowledge, Music Matters and NN North Sea Jazz. Together, they create space for new voices, fresh ideas and music that reflects the future of the city.
