Na de veelgeprezen documentaires Summer of Soul en Sly Lives! richt Questlove zijn blik op een van de invloedrijkste bands uit de muziekgeschiedenis. Met zeldzaam archiefmateriaal, nooit eerder vertoonde beelden en openhartige interviews vertelt de film het verhaal van Earth, Wind & Fire: van de visionaire ideeën van oprichter Maurice White tot de wereldwijde impact van hun unieke mix van soul, funk, jazz en disco.

Voorafgaand aan de vertoning gaat Questlove in gesprek met muziekjournalist Ashley Kahn. Een bijzondere ontmoeting met een van de meest toonaangevende makers van muziekdocumentaires van dit moment, die exclusief voor deze gelegenheid naar Rotterdam komt.

Following his acclaimed documentaries Summer of Soul and Sly Lives!, Questlove turns his attention to one of the most influential bands in music history. Through rare archival footage, never-before-seen material and candid interviews, the film tells the story of Earth, Wind & Fire—from the visionary ideas of founder Maurice White to the band’s lasting global impact through its groundbreaking blend of soul, funk, jazz and disco.

Before the screening, Questlove will join music journalist Ashley Kahn for an onstage conversation. A rare opportunity to hear from one of today’s leading music documentarians, who comes to Rotterdam especially for this event.
