NSRT x Time w/ Chaerin & Alberta Balsam (live set), Naone, awyn1000

Samen met Time is the New Space presenteren we een bijzondere clubavond waarin improvisatie, elektronica en clubcultuur samenkomen. Centraal staat Chaerin Im, Artist in Focus van North Sea Round Town 2026, die samen met Alberta Balsam een live performance brengt waarin compositie en improvisatie elkaar voortdurend uitdagen.

Chaerin, afkomstig uit Seoul en inmiddels stevig verbonden aan Rotterdam, verruilde haar klassieke pianowortels voor een avontuurlijk, synthesizergedreven geluid. In haar werk onderzoekt ze de raakvlakken tussen elektronische muziek, improvisatie en performance. Samen met Alberta Balsam, een vertrouwde naam binnen de Rotterdamse muziekscene, ontstaat een live set die zich volledig in het moment ontvouwt.

De avond wordt geopend door lokaal talent awyn1000. Daarna neemt Naone, eveneens afkomstig uit Seoul, het publiek mee in haar gelaagde clubsound, waarin invloeden uit de ravecultuur van de jaren negentig en vroege jaren nul samenkomen. Verwacht een meeslepende mix van progressive house, dubby tech house, psychedelische techno, acid en hypnotische grooves.

Een avond vol nieuwe ontmoetingen, verrassende muzikale verbindingen en grensverleggende sounds, mogelijk gemaakt door de samenwerking tussen Time is the New Space en North Sea Round Town.

Together with Time is the New Space, North Sea Round Town presents a special club night where improvisation, electronic music and club culture come together. At the heart of the evening is Chaerin Im, North Sea Round Town’s Artist in Focus 2026, who joins forces with Alberta Balsam for a live performance that blurs the lines between composition and improvisation.

Originally trained as a classical pianist in Seoul, Chaerin has developed a distinctive synth-driven sound, exploring the intersections of electronic music, improvisation and performance. Together with Alberta Balsam, a longstanding figure in Rotterdam’s music scene, she will present a live set that unfolds entirely in the moment.

The night opens with local talent awyn1000, before Naone takes over the decks later in the evening. Also hailing from Seoul, Naone is known for her fluid club sound rooted in ’90s and early-2000s rave culture, moving effortlessly between progressive house, dubbed-out tech house, psychedelic techno, acid and hypnotic, groove-driven club music.

Expect an evening of unexpected encounters, adventurous sounds and new musical connections, made possible through the collaboration between Time is the New Space and North Sea Round Town.
