Vanuit haar residentie als Femme in Focus bij North Sea Round Town ontwikkelde Jèryh Luz nieuw materiaal. Deze zomer trekt ze met haar live-set door de stad en landt hier bij By Jarmusch. Jazzhaven
North Sea Round Town brengt met Jazzhaven een ode aan de Rotterdamse geschiedenis en muzikale vernieuwing, in en rond de bijzondere plekken van Historisch Delfshaven. Tussen 16:00 en 22:00 vult de wijk zich met livemuziek, van terrassen tot kades langs het water. Je hoort een mix van stijlen: van Braziliaanse grooves tot dromerige piano en zwoele vocals. Met intieme optredens op unieke locaties ontstaat een betoverend programma vol ontdekking en ontmoeting. Voor wie de dag eerder wil beginnen, zijn er ochtendconcerten om 09:45 en 10:30, terwijl Delfshaven langzaam ontwaakt.

For early birds, this lunch concert takes place before the crowds awaken and Jazzhaven gets going. From her residency as Femme in Focus at North Sea Round Town, Jèryh Luz developed new material. This summer, she brings her live set across the city, landing here at By Jarmusch. With her Cape Verdean roots, she moves effortlessly between jazz, fusion and neo-soul. With Jazzhaven, North Sea Round Town presents a tribute to Rotterdam’s history and musical innovation, set in and around the unique locations of Historic Delfshaven. Between 16:00 and 22:00, the neighbourhood fills with live music, from terraces to the quays along the water. You’ll hear a mix of styles, from Brazilian grooves to dreamy piano and sultry vocals. With intimate performances at distinctive locations, a captivating programme unfolds, full of discovery and encounter. For those who want to start the day earlier, there are morning concerts at 09:45 and 10:30, as Delfshaven slowly awakens.
Deze zomer staat Jèryh Luz centraal als Rotterdamse Femme in Focus 2026. Vanuit een residentie en LAB op Boerderij Driebergen ontwikkelt zij samen met haar ensemble nieuw repertoire waarin jazz, neo-soul, fusion en persoonlijke verhalen samenkomen. Op zaterdag 27 juni gaat het project daar in première, waarna het zich in verschillende bezettingen en settings door Rotterdam beweegt, van intieme concerten tot grotere podia in de stad. Voor Jèryh draait het traject om artistieke vrijheid, vrouwelijk leiderschap en het loslaten van perfectionisme.

This summer, Jèryh Luz takes centre stage as Rotterdam-based Femme in Focus 2026. From a residency and LAB at Boerderij Driebergen, she develops new repertoire together with her ensemble, bringing together jazz, neo-soul, fusion and personal stories. The project premieres there on Saturday 27 June, after which it moves through Rotterdam in different settings and line-ups – from intimate concerts to larger stages across the city. For Jèryh, the trajectory revolves around artistic freedom, female leadership and letting go of perfectionism.
