From 25 June to 12 July, Rotterdam fills with music again — for three weeks straight. Inside, outside, in places you know and places you’ll stumble upon along the way. This year feels extra special: North Sea Jazz celebrates its 50th anniversary, and we’re building towards it together. With 375+ concerts across 175 locations, there’s always something pulling you in. Whether you plan ahead or just drift through the city: Rotterdam is on.

Chaerin Im Artist in Focus 2026

This summer, Chaerin Im takes center stage as Artist in Focus with the premiere of Phase Shift – A Sonic Collision of Seoul and Rotterdam (Thursday 2 July). From jazz piano roots and the Korean classical scene to a bold, synth-driven sound — her work moves freely between worlds and genres. From Seoul to the Rotterdam underground, she builds her own path across the city in different formations.

Not without reason, she was named Young Artist of the Year 2024 by NRC.

With RUNA BECOMES SUN by AWICHAS from Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti, we ease into the festival and step into another world. Created especially for the opening night, this new work unfolds slowly through sound, rhythm and light. Drawing you into a sensory experience. A moment to land, to breathe, before the city sets in motion for three weeks.

Rotterdam Femme in Focus: Jèryh Luz

From a residency at Boerderij Driebergen, Jèryh Luz develops new work into a live Femme in Focus set, created together with the festival. Catch the premiere on Saturday 27 June and after that, you’ll find her everywhere: from terraces in the city centre to the beach at Hoek van Holland, from Rotterdam Centraal to Rotterdam South (including Dunya Festival). From full band to intimate sets.

Jazzhaven in Historisch Delfshaven

Follow the water through Historic Delfshaven. With Jazzhaven (Saturday 4 July), you move from indoor spaces to terraces, discovering Rotterdam musicians in ever-changing settings. Intimate concerts, unexpected crossovers. Just move along and let yourself be surprised

Hoek van Holland by bike

Join us for a day at the seaside — just a little different. Hop on your bike and explore Hoek van Holland beyond the beach, guided by live music. With one ticket, you follow a route together with our hosts and discover places you didn’t know yet. Hoek van Holland by Bike, Sunday 28 June 2026. Jazz on the Meent

Feel like wandering through the city, drifting between terraces and music? At Jazz op de Meent, you move from spot to spot with live acts on terraces, in galleries and shops. With 50 concerts across 25 locations, we celebrate together on the night before NN North Sea Jazz’s 50th edition. Free entrance, Thursday 9 July 2026.

Many boutiques and shops welcome you this evening with extended opening hours. Stay a little longer afterwards: bars and restaurants are open as usual.

Music pops up everywhere. At Rotterdam Centraal Station, a large stage takes over from Friday 10 until Sunday 12 July. In the city centre, from Lijnbaan to Koopgoot, Jazz Rotterdam Centrum brings music to every corner. Even the metro joins in with RET Melodies from Centraal to Zuidplein. And at Annie M.G. Schmidtplein, near Ahoy, another stage is waiting.

Biggest Musical Chairs

Up for the biggest musical chairs ever? Head to Afrikaanderpark on Rotterdam South and join in. With 1.000 chairs, only one can win. For all ages. Play, cheer, and kick off the summer holidays together on Wednesday 8 July.

Start Buurtconcerten met speciale XL

We kick off the Buurtconcerten with a special XL edition at Humanitas Bergweg. From care homes to community spaces, with live music and dance. Drop by, listen, sing along or move in your own way. Because even when the feet stay still, music still moves.

Three weeks of live music in the heart of summer

The Open Call just closed, we’re right in the middle of the selection. Together with musicians, makers and venues across the city, we’re building a new edition. This summer, we move through Rotterdam again with North Sea Round Town (co-) productions and Open Call projects. Together, we form the fringe of North Sea Jazz: 375 concerts, 175 locations, one city. From 25 June to 12 July 2026, we’re everywhere.
